Day 13

Pure

I am pure. My heart continually seeks the Lord in His goodness. When I think about the fault in this world, then my heart becomes discouraged. I can get mixed up and start doing things or saying things that are not trusting God. Instead, I must focus on Him and the things of God. I see God more clearly when I function out of His purity and peace. I don’t want to do anything with wrong motivations. I promise to do my best so that I might live in such a way that my thoughts, words, and actions are an overflow of His Word in my heart.

LISTEN

I know the condition of your heart. This should not make you fearful, but it should encourage you. I care about everything weighing on you and making you weary. I say this with love, and I want you to know that you don’t have to worry. Think about me, and the peace that I give to you through my Word. I will make you pure when you meditate on my presence. Be thankful for the beauty in your life; train your eyes to see me more clearly.

REFLECT

Reflect on Philippians 4:8.

How can you train yourself to see God?

Are thankfulness and purity connected?

What does it mean to love with purity of heart?

Who are you in Jesus? Pure
