Day 9

Given Access to the Father

Jesus, God in the flesh, came to Earth for me. He came so that my sins could be atoned for, but also so much more. He came so that I could have access to the Father and live in a relationship with Him. His gospel means that there is no longer need to be separated from God, but Jesus made the way for me. I am amazed at how this awesome gift of grace gives me access to God. I can pray to Him about anything, and I can do that with confidence. I know that God can hear me, and that He cares about what I say. I have access to the Creator of all things; how could I not approach His throne every day!

LISTEN

My child, I love hearing from you. I sent Jesus so that you could have access to me, and this is never a regret. I do all things with purpose, so please understand that you don’t have to doubt me. I hear you, and I care about you. I want to hear your requests, and I need you to believe that I have loving power to answer you and your prayers. The word grace means that I want to give you far more than you can ask for, so ask and delight in my presence. You have access to me, and you have been given full permission to stand before my throne in faith.

READ

Romans 8:14-15 ESV: “For all who are led by the Spirit of God are son of God. For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”

Romans 5:11 ESV: “More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.”

Ephesians 2:18 ESV: “For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.”

Ephesians 3:12 ESV: “…in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him.”

REFLECT

Reflect on the Sovereignty of God.

What do you think about having access to a Sovereign God?

Do you believe that God hears you?

Pray for God to increase your faith in His love for you.

Who are you in Jesus? A Person with access to the Father
