Day 3

OK

I used to believe in my brokenness more than I believed in my security. I fell into the lie that life situations defined me. The truth is, I am OK! I am not perfect, and I won’t be here on Earth. Yet, I have been granted security by God’s grace, and I can be content with the fact that everything will be OK. I don’t have to pretend that I am perfect, and I can’t let my situation discourage me. God is in control, and He is worthy of my trust. I am OK in all things, because He is working all things for my good.

LISTEN

Of course you are OK, my child. I hold you in the palm of my hand, and I direct all your paths. You have no reason to doubt the security you will find in me. I am your only steadfast assurance. You can trust that this difficulty is nothing more than momentary. You are mine, and I am yours. Ask me, and I will fill you with my assurance. I will steady you, and keep you strong. Will you believe me when I say that you are OK?

READ

Ephesians 2:8-9 ESV: “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”

1 John 5:18 ESV: “We know that everyone who has been born of God does not keep on sinning, but he who was born of God protects him, and the evil one does not touch him.”

Jeremiah 33:3 ESV: “Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.”

REFLECT

Reflect on the security of Christ.

Why can we trust we are OK in any situation?

Do you believe that God will assure you of His care for you?

How can you remind yourself that you’re OK?

Who are you in Jesus? Ok
