Day 8

Loved

I used to be consumed by my tasks each day, or my friends, or my job. Now I am consumed by thoughts about my Savior. The Bible says the fruits of the Spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. I can truly see these characteristics filling me up and overflowing into my life. I am not just forgiven by God, but I am loved with an overwhelming love! His love is better than anything else in my life because it has given me life. His love is the center of my life!

LISTEN

My love for you is more than you can imagine. It overwhelms me with compassion and consideration for your good. I expect nothing except for you to abide in me. Please just trust that I have goodness set out for you and I want the absolute best for your life! I want you to understand something else as well ... I don’t just have love for you — I am love — which means that everything that abides in me, abides in love, and everything that abides in me abides in you! Love is in you because I am in you. You are love and loved!

This is the most beautiful hope in your life is me, and that hope assures you that I love you.

REFLECT

Reflect on your understanding of love.

How can God be love?

What is the greatest act of love ever shown?

Do you show love to people around you?

Who are you in Jesus? Loved
