Day 12

Clean

I was soiled, dirty, and sluggish for too long. Then, by the miraculous grace of God, He saw my mess worthy of a clean up. I was plucked right out of my own filth, and I was washed clean. In an instant, Jesus replaced my sin with his perfect righteousness. This gracious exchange rinsed me, and by his sanctification, I am continually experiencing a renewal. His Word and His truth remind me of where I came from, and they direct me to where I am going. Christ’s life and death had the power to make me clean. I will stand before His throne someday and He will find me blameless!

LISTEN

You are blameless because I have called you blameless. You have no business in “cleaning yourself up” before you approach me. Jesus cleansed you by His own blood. You do not need to earn that, you must only ask for it. When you read my Word and apply my Truth, you will see the power of my sanctification. Always remember, my power can save anyone at any time. My children are never too filthy. I have abundant grace through my Son, and I want to clean even the most unlikely. The messier my children are, truly just reminds them of how powerful my grace is!

READ

1 Peter 1:23 ESV: “Since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God.”

John 17:17 ESV: “Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.”

Colossians 1:22 ESV:  “He has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him.”

REFLECT

Reflect on your testimony.

Can you “clean yourself up” before God?

Have you ever believed the lie that you were too filthy for God?

Do you trust you have been called blameless?

Who are you in Jesus? Clean
