Day 6

You Are Not Your Own

I am not my own, because of the freedom that Jesus bought for me. I don’t have to account for the price of my life, and I don’t have to wear the burden of my sin. God has considered me HIS! He claims me as His own, and wraps me in His arms of grace. His Spirit fills me, and I become a temple for His presence. I get to be a messenger of His love, because it now dwells inside of me. He urges me to walk forward for the purpose He has set forth in me. He sets forth this great purpose for His glory. I am a steward of God’s grace! What an honor to be used to tell other people of how good God has been to me.

LISTEN

Mine! You are mine! I created you in my image because I want you to look like me for all your days. I know that you be most satisfied when you are on my mission, so I sent my Spirit to dwell with you. I want you to understand that you are mine, because that will assure you of how you are secured. You are secured in my arms, and my arms offer an abundance of comfort. Trust me, and let me prove your prayers are heard. Ask me to remind you that you are mine and I am yours!

READ

1 Corithians 6:19-21 ESV: “ Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,  for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.”

REFLECT

Reflect on the truth that you belong to God.

What characteristics has God shared with you?

Will you ask God to remind you of His presence dwelling with you?

Who are you in Jesus? Not your own
